June is #Pride Month and we have again decorated our building in rainbow colors! June is Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month in the U.S., and it serves as an important reminder that all people deserve to live with dignity and respect, free from fear and violence, and protected against discrimination, regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation.
“The U.S. State Department and the U.S. Embassy in Oslo supports the struggle for equality for and against discrimination of LGBT people in Norway and the world every day. But from the 17th to the 30th of June, we will highlight this little extra.”
The Embassy is now decorated with the rainbow colors. There will be special posters, and next week, the Embassy will host a visit by LGBT activist Beth Zemsky.
Norwegians are now waiting for the Russian embassy to do the same.
