WHAT IS HEXER?
Hexer is a 12-episode webseries we’ve been working on for the last two years. It centres around friendship and magic and mystery.
WHAT’S THE STORY?
A female chosen one is picked every 25 years to learn hex magic. A group of friends deals with life after one of them is chosen to be the Hexer - because this year a boy is chosen instead, and the group becomes more and more suspicious that they are being lied to.
IS IT DIVERSE?
YES. The show is full of women, people of colour, people in the LGBTQ+ community, and people dealing with mental health issues. These is something we have often been disappointed by in other series - and we are determined not to disappoint you.WHEN WILL IT GET MADE?
We’re currently in a crowdfunding competition for diverse voices which, if we get funded, will allow us to make the pilot by April 2017. Depending on whether we qualify for additional grant money, we can start work on the whole series in 2017!
