Ash Sarkar and Natalie Wynn discuss TERFs and transphobia

British journalist and political activist Ash Sarkar interviews Natalie Wynn AKA Contrapoints, transgender thinker, activist and entertainer.

They discuss the recent upsurge in transphobia and the unholy alliance between transphobic radical feminists and the extreme right.

TERFs are now repeating anti-semitic conspiracy theories

Trans-exclusionary radical feminist are not really radical feminists. Again and again they align themselves with the extreme right. Here is a twitter thread by Katelyn Boo-rns that documents this phenomenon.

Let me repeat this, because it is clearly needed: Real radical feminists are not transphobic. Real radical feminists do not try to uphold a gender binary developed by the Patriarchy in order to oppress women. Real radical feminists do not cooperate with the extreme right in order to harass transgender children. Real feminists support the oppressed and help those marginalized.

Terfs have started a campaign putting up penis stickers in major cities and now there are reports they’ve adopted the nazi tactic of hiding razor blades behind them to injure anyone trying to remove them.

Cover them with another sticker or scratch with a key to be safe, more advice here.

TERFs: “Some lesbians are penis-repulsed and we have to protect them at any cost.”

TERFs: “So we’ve put up graphic stickers depicting penises in women’s bathrooms where such lesbians are sure to be. And put razors behind said stickers to injure anyone who tries to remove them.”

TERFs: “We’re doing this to protect women.”

Extremist all over the world, from Trump to European fascists, are trying to make the concept of “The People” equal their own supporters.

By doing so, they try to paint everyone else as the enemy of the people, servants of “The Elite”.

They do so in order to be able to dismiss all of those who do not live up to their narrow definitions of what an American, German or Turk should be, including independent women, people of color, religious minorities, homosexuals, transgender people, and men who do not have to prove their masculinity by carrying a gun.

Every time haters say that they represent the people, stand up and tell them: “We are all the People!”

All of us!
