West Midlands student is Britain's 'first transgender paramedic'

Cole Pickering, a student paramedic with West Midlands Ambulance Service, said for most of his life he ‘just tried to fit in to what seemed normal’.
But the former climbing instructor was always more comfortable wearing a West Bromwich Albion football shirt than a dress, and began hormone therapy in June after officially changing his name two months earlier…
